Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Fine Arts started its education in the West Campus with a full quota of 15 students in the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass in the academic year of 2003-2004. Since its establishment, until the 2018-2019 academic year, when student admissions were stopped, the number of student quotas in each academic year was met and graduated. The Ceramics and Glass Department, which gave its first graduates in 2007, attends theoretical lessons in the Faculty of Fine Arts building on the East Campus and continues its application lessons in the workshops within the Ceramics Research and Application Center in the West Campus. The Ceramics Department gives priority to contemporary education and provides unique art education with 17 years of experience that has the archaeological and cultural values ​​of the Lakes Region and guides the culture and art life of the region. To raise contemporary artist candidates who have universal ideas and values ​​of art by providing students with the environment and opportunities in which they can develop their knowledge and skills in the field of ceramics. In addition to all these, student admissions were stopped in the academic years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.
