Frequenty Asked Questions

The candidates to apply to the painting department have to graduate from high schools and their equivalents. According to YKS-TYT points of the candidates performed by student selection and placement center, applications are accepted over the base points determined by our faculty every year. The  exams have been made on two stages as Design and Imaginary.

 

The instructors and students of the department who have bilateral learning agreements with many universities abroad participate in studies related to their fields in the frame of Erasmus program abroad for their personel developments and exchange information. Besides, students take part in national and international exhibitions and student triennials.

Graduation exhibition is held regularly every year. The participation of the students into solo exhibitions co-exhibitions and competitions during their four-year education has been provided. Also, gaining experience and meeting self-developmental environments have been supported.

The exams are going to be held by the instructor through distant training as assignments, presentation, project etc. between the dates determined according to academic calendar. You can reach at the exam programs from the page of faculty and department.

Students who have completed 240 AKTS credits succesfully at the end of the 4th year with a course of  30AKTS credits every term (8 semesters) graduate from the painting department with BA (Bachelor’s Degree).

 

Students who graduate from the painting department can work as free artist, visual arts teacher in private public institutions, art consultant, academic staff in educational research institutions related to fine arts and curator of art courses. These students can get pedagogical formation certificate program executed at the universities allowed by the Higher Education Council.
