2023-2024 Academic Year Spring Semester Course Registration Procedures
2023-2024 Academic Year Spring Term Registration Renewal / Course Registration procedures will be carried out between 12 February 2024 (00:01) - 16 February 2024 (23:59). Course registration will be done through the Student Information System (OBS). Students are responsible for the entire registration renewal process and must renew their registrations themselves. (1st Year Students will do their course registration themselves)
According to the class they are in, our students must first take the courses they have failed and never taken from the lower semesters. If their GPA is below 1.80, they will be able to take 30 ECTS courses, and if it is above, they will be able to take courses up to a maximum of 50 ECTS. In order to take courses from the upper class, it is possible to take courses from the upper semester provided that there are no failed courses from the previous semesters and the GPA is 2.50 and above.
In the upper right part of the course registration screen, the contribution / tuition fee to be paid can be monitored. Students who have accrued tuition debt can make course selection but cannot make the finalisation process. After making payment, the finalisation process must be completed. After selecting all of the courses, the course finalisation process must be completed through the ‘Check’ and ‘Finalise/Confirm’ buttons. If the course finalisation process is not completed by the student, the course registration is not made in the active period. Students in this situation will not be able to benefit from the student rights of the relevant period and will not appear on any list, including attendance lists.
Students who need to pay Contribution Fee / Tuition Fee will be able to pay their tuition debts with their ‘student number’ from all Halk Bank or Ziraat Bank Branches / ATMs, internet and mobile banking between 12-16 February 2024.
Students who need to take University common elective courses in their curriculum (UOS) as of the current semester cannot choose from the common elective courses opened by the department / programme they are studying. After selecting the faculty and department they want to take courses on the course registration screen, the desired course will be selected from the courses listed. In order for University Common Elective Courses to be opened, a minimum of 80 students must register for the relevant course. Since the University Common Elective Courses below 80 will be closed, our students are required to make the necessary checks to see whether the course they have chosen is open or not. Students whose selected course is closed can choose from the courses that are finalised to be opened during the add delete week and have a quota.
If changes in course registration procedures are required, they will be made during the add/delete week between 26 February -01 March 2024.
Compulsory Preparatory Class students who have accrued tuition debt in the spring semester are required to pay their tuition debt between 12-16 February 2024.
Students who have problems in course registration procedures are required to apply through the ‘Request Tracking and Support System’ regarding their problems. You can report your problems by logging into the Request Tracking and Support System at https://sdunet.sdu.edu.tr/.
