Sezer-Mehmet Aldan Kindergarten organized workshops on Natural Dyeing and Ebru (Turkish marbling) art.

In a workshop held as part of the "From Roots to the Future Project" organized by Sezer-Mehmet Aldan Kindergarten, children had an unforgettable experience learning both natural dyeing techniques and the art of marbling. In the workshop, children used natural dyes such as indigo and indigo, painting with pigments derived from plants. Another important part of the workshop involved introducing children to the traditional art of marbling. Under the guidance of marbling artist Havva Genç, children created patterns with the movement of colors on water and discovered the intricacies of this traditional art form.

nspired by tradition, these two workshops were organized in collaboration with the SDÜ Faculty of Fine Arts, the SDÜ Institute of Fine Arts, and the SDÜ Institute of Science. Contributors to the event included the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Mustafa GENÇ; the Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Tuğba KODAL; the Director of the Institute of Fine Arts, Assoc. Prof. Deniz ÇELİKER; the Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Gülşen ÖZTÜRK; the Director of the Institute of Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mert ŞEKERCİ; the Head of the Traditional Turkish Arts Department, Assoc. Prof. İlker Öztürk; Dr. Derya ÇEVİK from the Institute of Fine Arts; Research Assistant Hüseyin DENİZ; and Ebru (marbling) artist Havva GENÇ.

At the end of the workshop, Özlem BAŞARAN, the director of Sezer-Mehmet Aldan Kindergarten, thanked all the participants and supporting institutions for their contributions and presented them with plaques. This meaningful event contributed to the education of children while once again highlighting the importance of environmentally friendly production methods and traditional arts.
